Ballinciaga approached kind@ back in October 2024 to create a one of a kind music video for their upcoming song “Ayt”.

Together with Trym Ruud, Torger Vestgaard, Espen Kopreitan, and myself, we set out to craft what would become a visually stunning, full-length 3D music video—an immersive cinematic experience in its own right.

Growing up with films like Flåklypa Grand Prix, Team America, and Wallace & Gromit, we’ve always dreamed of building our own stop-motion-inspired universe. With a dash of surrealism, a sea of cultural references, and (hopefully) plenty of humor, we feel we’ve captured the fun and lighthearted spirit of Ballinciaga’s universe.

Just like the recently Oscar-winning animated film Flow, the entire music video was created using Blender—the powerful, free, and open-source 3D software.

Ever since I was introduced to the magic of cinema, I’ve dreamed of creating a film that would one day be shown in a real theater. Thanks to Ballinciaga and kind@, that dream became a reality when we took over Colosseum Kino in Oslo for a proper premiere—complete with a pink “red carpet.” Absolutely surreal.

To top it all off, the music video has now been nominated for Music Video of the Year at the Spellemannprisen 2024, set to take place on August 24, 2025.
